Monte Velo is a classic destination for bikers in Garda Trentino, in this case, the tour leads to the peaceful rural area of Val di Gresta.
With a length of more than 40km and an altitude difference of around 1450m, it is quite a physically demanding tour. It is practicable from April to November, but in recent years, it is often possible to tackle it even in winter. The bottom, initially paved from Arco to Carobbi, then develops for the most part on forest roads, always stable during the ascent. The more demanding stretch, from a technical point of view, is downhill, and is found between Passo Santa Barbara and Maso Naranch: never exposed, it develops in the undergrowth, rather bumpy and at times loose. Even downhill there are several sections on asphalt.
